A major goal for the second grade is to help students develop a love of reading as they continue to build their skills in Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies. Through a range of projects and experiences, students continue to grow as confident and independent learners. The mathematics program encourages children to learn different strategies for solving word problems while the science program explores balance, force, and magnets. The children work on various cross-curricular units inquiring into local Vietnamese traditions and the student’s native culture Through a myriad of experiences, second graders grow, develop their strengths, their personal and social skills and express their enthusiasm for learning.
