Our growing elementary children need opportunities to develop their mind, their body and their spirit. The various Specials help them do that. The goals of the physical education program are to educate the whole child and to teach the students a lifelong appreciation for physical fitness, health, and sport The Elementary School music program enables students to develop musically through a variety of activities including singing, listening, music games, rhythmic movement and analysis, note reading, theory and instrumental playing. The Art programs offer opportunities for creativity and self expression. The activities in the computer laboratories helps students discover how technology can be a source of expression and artistic design. The Vietnamese Studies Specials helps them learn about their host country and experience the richness of this land. Discovering themselves and finding balance in life, students at SSIS find that these Specials help them find their sense of self.
