Effective 2007/2008 School Year
Application Fee
A non refundable one time Application Fee of USD200 is required with the submission of an application. This is used to cover administrative costs and any required admissions testing. If a child leaves SSIS and later re-applies, a new Application Fee must be paid.
Tuition
The Tuition Fee, and ESL Fee (if applicable) are paid by the installment plan at the beginning of each term, or parents may take the option to pay the full annual fees at the beginning of the academic year. When the entire annual fees are paid in full by August 1, a 5% early payment discount applies.
ESL Fee - English as a Second Language Placement is determined by the School.

All fees are payable in VNDong and will be converted to VND at the rate of 16,000 VND per 1 USD.
A 5% early payment discount will be applied when the entire annual fee is paid in advance
by August 1, 2007.
Payment Schedule
The Tuition and Fees are due and payable on the following schedule for all students:
• Installment # 1; August 1, 2007
• Installment # 2; October 12, 2007
• Installment # 3; January 11, 2008
• Installment # 4; April 4, 2008
New Student Initial Payment (Non-refundable): Upon receiving an offer of enrollment, a USD1,000 Initial Payment is to be paid immediately to guarantee a place in school for the following school year. This payment is applied toward the full year tuition and fees. The balance of Installment #1 tuition and fees are due by August 1, prior to the student attending classes.
Returning Student Payment (Non-refundable): Following the initial year, a USD500 Returning Student Payment is to be paid by April 1, 2007 to guarantee a place in school for the following school year. This payment is applied toward the full year tuition and fees. The balance of Installment #1 tuition and fees are due by August 1, 2007 prior to the student attending classes.
Late Payment Policy
All fees must be paid by the due date(s). Late penalties will be charged as follows:
• After 30 days past the payment due date, a 5% penalty will be applied on the outstanding amount. Parents who receive a penalty notice that they believe is an error, should provide a copy of the bank payment receipt to the school. The penalty will depend on the date of the bank receipt.
• After 60 days past the payment due date, (in addition to the 5% penalty), school records will be withheld and educational services may be refused.
Late Enrollment
The school accepts late new enrollments, depending on seat availability and potential disruption to existing classes. For a student enrolling at SSIS after the beginning of the academic year, the following fees will apply:

Refund Policy
For students whose full required school fees were paid in advance, on time, at the beginning of the academic year (not by installment plan) the following refund policy and schedule is applied according to the date of departure from the school for any reason. The parent must complete the standard Departure Notice form and procedures in order to obtain a proper refund. There is no refund of any Installment payments already paid to the School according to the installment schedule.

Special Discount
A 20% discount will be applied to tuition & capital and ESL fees for the third child of the same family attending SSIS.
A 30% discount will be applied to tuition & capital and ESL fees for the fourth and subsequent children of the same family attending SSIS.
Additional Costs
The school supplies all educational texts and many supplementary supplies. Students and families are responsible for their personal supplies, lunch, school uniforms, field trip expenses, Bus Fare and PTA Dues.

Payment is by bank transfer or cash in VND as follows:
• Saigon South International School: account # 018.1.00.009171.4 at Vietcombank Tan Thuan, Phu My Hung Branch, Lawrence S. Ting Bldg., 801 Nguyen Luong Bang St., Tan Phu Ward, District 7, HCMC;
• Saigon South International School: account # 2311.00.51519 at Chinfon Commercial Bank, 27 Tu Xuong St., District 3, HCMC.

• Please be sure that your payment references our invoice number, the name, grade, and both Student ID and Unique ID of each student/s.
• All bank fees (sending and receiving) are payable from your account.
